Cillian Murphy’s awful Irish accent
look he didn’t sound anything like lucky the lucky charms leprechaun so it was awful okay
But in all seriousness, his natural accent - and the Irish characters he generally plays - are all what foreigners would associate with Ireland. Breakfast On Pluto though, which this review is probably about, was the one time he ever toned down the Irishness. It is quite an odd accent to choose, and quite an odd film to decide to tone down his accent.
Also, I’ve only just realised that he speaks with an Irish accent in 28 Days Later. But they travel across London to find his parents, and he refers to it as home, which would suggest that the character is English.
or his parents are immigrants, racist.
racism proved by the racist prover!!
…which would mean it would make no sense for him to have an Irish accent, without even a hint of London. Racism disproved!
