Day 5. A song with the most beautiful lyrics you know.
Ugh ok, this is hard. I’m just not really a lyrics person, you know? Even in songs where I do notice the lyrics, it’s usually just one or two lines that stick out to me.
So yeah. Even though ‘beautiful’ isn’t exactly how I’d describe this, and there are probably more fitting songs by the same band, here is High Hawk Season by the Mountain Goats, because, I don’t know, this song really speaks to me or something.

MFF#27 High Maintenance Machines
This doesn’t really require much explanation. It’s a compilation of my favourite songs by The Mountain Goats, just because I had felt like doing this for a while. Also Rob hates them, and it’s always fun to try to bother Rob.
It’s a highly subjective collection, and they have an absolutely ridiculous number of albums I haven’t even listened to, but these are my favourites and this is probably a pretty good introduction to The Mountain Goats (even if it will be obvious to fans what kind of Mountain Goats song I like best).
