New mix up! mixesforfriends: MFF#11 Whenever I Smell Asphalt Rob complained about the blurry black and white lomo shots, and suggested that I crop something to album art shape instead. How’s this, Rob? Anyway, this is the first mix I’ve made just for this blog. Also very possibly the first mix I’ve managed to make where I’ve more or less stuck to a theme the whole way through (the theme was just “songs that sound a bit like this”). My last exam was today. I’m finished college now, officially.

I left two of my best friends at their bus stop on my way home, and just as I said goodbye to the second friend it started to sink in that this is it, I’m not going to see them as much anymore - she might even be going away to do an MA in London or Edinburgh. When I cycled away after they both got on their busses this song happened to be the one on my mp3 player (I’d listened to the two songs before it on the album on the way in).

Which was strange, because it almost perfectly suited the mood I was in.

I can’t stop listening to it now.
