You should all follow our new blog! Also, submit mixes you’ve made to it!
MFF#13 Peter
This is a mix I made for my Dad for Christmas last year. Possibly the most eclectic one I’ve posted so far? Sorry that some songs are repeats from other mixes, but it’s late and I felt bad about not updating the blog for a while.

I wonder if I’ll get as many notes/follows from this as from the first one. I’d be lying if I pretended that wouldn’t make me feel all warm and happy.
MFF#12 (anti-)folk(-punk) Part II
As promised, here is a sequel to the Anti-Folk/Folk-Punk I originally posted months ago. Lots of people really liked it, so hopefully they will like this one too! It has some bands I forgot to include on that one, as well as other great songs by some of the same bands. Basically it is a load of different subgenres of folk stuff, with one or two songs that are just acoustic thrown in. And one song that is probably best described as Acoustic Screamo.

MFF#11 Whenever I Smell Asphalt
Rob complained about the blurry black and white lomo shots, and suggested that I crop something to album art shape instead. How’s this, Rob?
Anyway, this is the first mix I’ve made just for this blog. Also very possibly the first mix I’ve managed to make where I’ve more or less stuck to a theme the whole way through (the theme was just “songs that sound a bit like this”).

I made this for tumblr/my own amusement a while ago, and it got reblogged all over the place. Seems like reposting it here would be a good idea! This is pretty much the first of these mixes to actually stick to its theme: folk, anti-folk ad folk-punk. Basically any good folk-based stuff I felt like adding to it. There is now a part two, but I’ll save that for later.

Hey you guys, Rob and I have a new blog together!
So I got bored and decided to make a compilation of songs by my favourite folk and folk-punk artists. I tried to only include songs by bands whose usual sound this is, but I ended up breaking that rule for Chewing on Tinfoil and RVIVR because I love those songs too much. And also for We Versus The Shark because cheesey joke. I did stick to a ‘one song per artist’ rule though, or this would have just ended up as The Mountain Jackson Goats, Ohio.

*I’m pretty sure my habit of separating artists from songs/albums with a - and not a comma in lists like this is entirely because of D,O
